CONSULTATION WORKSHOP ON FINALIZATION OF SPACC VERSION 2 -HEALTH SECTOR
One day consultation workshop on finalization of State Action Plan (for Health Sector) on Climate Change Version-2 was held at Conference Hall of State Family Welfare Training Center, Lamphel on 6th January 2022 organized by Directorate of Health Services Govt. of Manipur with Directorate of Environment and Climate Change Govt. of Manipur.
The meeting started with a welcome address by Dr. Y. Niveda Devi (SNO Climate Change). She proceeded with introduction of the respective officials and media person present there.
Dr. K Rajo Singh (Director Health Services Govt. of Manipur) gave an inaugural speech on the state action plan on health sector and the action plans performed since SAPCC version 1 till now, further he mentioned the work on climate sensitive diseases, food sampling program to the public and food testing of all the local manufactured foods in the state.
Dr. T. Brajakumar Singh (Joint Director, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change) gave a brief introduction about the importance of health sector in mitigating and adaptation of climate change in the action plan and also gave a presentation on Health…
Later a healthy discussion on State Action Plan (for Health Sector) on Climate Change Ver-2 took place which was coordinated by Dr. N. Shyamjai Singh (State Mission Director, NHM, Manipur) who put forward many eye-catching plans and approaches towards the changing scenario of health on the continuous change in climatic pattern in the state and beyond.
Post lunch the finalization of the SAPCC version 2 of Health sector took place with the approval of all the SNOs present there with a detailed understanding from the state Climate Change Cell’s.
The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr. RK Rosie (SNO, IEC).
